Micro TIG and plasma welding
Micro TIG and micro plasma welding are arc welding processes with a tungsten electrode. The plasma welding process has a higher energy density due to a more concentrated arc. Welding is done under a protective gas atmosphere (argon, helium or a mixture). The welds are larger than in case of laser or electron beam welding, which requires a less precise weld seam preparation. Custom welding equipment allows to weld minimum thicknesses of approximately 0.1 mm.
